What a Pod is

  • A mum is the caregiver. She looks after their child or children alongside her own.
  • At her home. On the days she chooses, every week.
  • Paid through Vivaly. She sets her rate, and the family pays her through Vivaly.
  • Checked like every caregiver. Starting with a Working With Children Check.

How Pods will work

If you’d be the caregiver

You look after another family’s child or children, alongside your own, at your home.

  1. Your days and suburbThe days you’re home and could look after another family’s child or children.
  2. A family nearby fitsVivaly looks for a family near you who needs those days. You each decide. Nobody is paired automatically.
  3. They meet you at your homeBefore anything is booked, the family meets you and your child at your home.
  4. Their child joins yoursOn the days you agree, their child or children join yours. Always one other family.
  5. They pay you through VivalyYou set your rate. The family books every week and pays you through Vivaly. Either family can leave with 2 weeks’ notice.

You’ll need the same checks as every caregiver on Vivaly, starting with a Working With Children Check.

  4. Your child joins hersOn the days you agree, your child or children join hers. Always just your family.
  5. Book and pay through VivalyYou pay her rate through Vivaly, every week. Either family can leave with 2 weeks’ notice.
